My Stance on Bloomberg's Potential Soda Ban
In my eyes, Mayor Bloomberg can do no wrong. I know I am bias when it comes to him but I can't help but agree with a lot of his decisions and views on New York City. People are extremely upset and have been very vocal about their stance on Bloomberg's idea of creating a soda band. This works my nerves to no end.
People ask that ridiculous question; "Why is he concerned about soda when there are several other issues that need to be solved in New York City?"
According to the CDC, the obesity rate in New York was 23.9% in 2010.
The Soda Ban will not solve the obesity epidemic but it is a great start. Mayor Bloomberg is thinking about the overall health of New York City residents so I just can't see how people can argue with him on this ban. As much as it kills me to see how many calories are in my favorite burger, I am happy to be in-the-know because I will make a more conscience decision before I order it. However, I have the willpower to make that decision and not everyone does. That's why the soda ban is necessary. It's not easy to turn down the additional few ounces for an extra 25 cents (I've done it myself).
I understand there are other important issues going on in NYC but we can't downplay the obesity problem. That's all I am saying.
Namaste,

Bravo Frank Ocean!
I admire Frank Ocean for coming out. It took a lot of guts. I don't think his decision to come out will hurt him or at least I hope not. Hats off to Charlamagne tha God (who I listen to every morning while showering) for the statement above. It's good to see Frank has a lot of support! :)

Warm Farewell to Ann Curry. You will be missed on the TODAY Show
People who follow my career may know that I am a big fan of the TODAY Show. I've had the pleasure of having my clients on the morning program and I really enjoy all the hosts. I was able to meet Ann a few times and she was always so warm and welcoming. Watching this farewell made me shed real tears this morning. You will definitely be missed.

Questlove's Insight on Hip-Hop via Vs The Google + Debates
I was able to tune into the Hip-Hop on Trial stream yesterday and hear the debates. Everyone had some great insight but I think Questo hit the nail right on the head.

True Blood Season 5 Premiere Recap
Premiere Recap: Tara, Tara, Tara...
The moment we've all been waiting for. I have to say I was rather impressed with the premiere of Season 5. The episode picked up where it left off, leaving Tara injured and possibly deceased on Sookie's floor. Pam (my homegirl) was gracious enough to try to revive Tara by making her a vamp...and it WORKED! Tara is a very aggressive/fearless "human" so I can't imagine how amazing she will be as a vamp. Excited to see how this pans out.
Eric is starting to get over Sookie.
Bill still seems torn.
Alcid came out the wood works to save Sam. I wonder what will become of that alliance.
Terry, what's the deal with his marine friend?
I guess we will see.
